چکیده
Abstract The relation between heat flux and temperature gradient has been considered as a constitutive structure or balance law in different approaches. Both views may allow description of conduction characterized by finite speed propagation disturbances. Such result, which overcomes Fourier’s drawback infinite propagation, can be obtained also considering insufficient the representation conductor, even when it is to rigid, rather than sole gradient. We comment this last view describe intersection with previous proposals. Eventually, we show how under have traveling-wave-type thermal microstructures are accounted for.

Finite Speed of Propagation for Stochastic Porous Media Equations
We prove finite speed of propagation for stochastic porous media equations perturbed by linear multiplicative space-time rough signals. Explicit and optimal estimates for the speed of propagation are given. The result applies to any continuous driving signal, thus including fractional Brownian motion for all Hurst parameters. The explicit estimates are then used to prove that the corresponding ...
متن کاملFinite Propagation Speed of Waves in Anisotropic Viscoelastic Media
Finite propagation speed properties in mathematical elastic and viscoelastic models are fundamental in many applications where the data exhibits propagating fronts. We note particularly that this property is observed in biomechanical imaging of tissue, in particular in the supersonic imaging experiment, and also in geophysics and ocean acoustics. With these applications in mind, noting that the...

متن کاملFinite Propagation Speed and Causal Free Quantum Fields on Networks
Laplace operators on metric graphs give rise to Klein-Gordon and wave operators. Solutions of the Klein-Gordon equation and the wave equation are studied and finite propagation speed is established. Massive, free quantum fields are then constructed, whose commutator function is just the Klein-Gordon kernel. As a consequence of finite propagation speed Einstein causality (local commutativity) ho...
متن کاملFinite Propagation Speed and Finite Time Blowup of the Euler Equations for Generalized Chaplygin Gas
The blowup phenomenon for the N-dimensional isentropic compressible Euler equations for generalized chaplygin gas (GCG), which arises in a cosmology model related to dark matter and dark energy, is investigated. First, we establish the finite propagation speed property for the system. This allows one to apply the integration method to study the blowup problem. More precisely, by deriving a diff...
